The rubber skull over the stitching is a small thing but it's exactly where my last leash frayed apart, so that sold me. Polyester has a nice give to it on walks and the locking hook hasn't slipped once, even when my dog lunges at squirrels.
My hands don't get that burning rope feeling anymore on our hour-long walks, the polyester is genuinely soft. The super hook snaps shut and stays put even when my 70 lb mutt lunges at squirrels. Three months in and the stitching still looks new.
