Took this on a muddy creek hike and the sand just rinsed right off under the tap, no scrubbing needed. The coated webbing feels way sturdier than the nylon one it replaced, and after a month of swims it still looks new.

Took this to the lake and it came back covered in sand, but a quick rinse under the tap and it looked brand new. The waterproof coating on the webbing really does keep the grit from working into the fabric.

The muddy dog park used to mean scrubbing a stinky collar every single night, but this one just needs a quick rinse and it's clean. The waterproof coating actually holds up too, no lingering wet-dog smell after a rainy walk.
