We walk our shepherd twice a day on gravel paths and this leash hasn't frayed or twisted once. The polyester feels broken-in from the first walk, no chafing even when she lunges. That little rubber skull over the stitching is holding up great too.

The locking hook is the reason I bought this — my previous leash popped open twice on walks, and this one hasn't budged once. The rubber skull over the stitching is a small detail but it's holding up well after a few months of daily use.
