My cats fought over this pad the first night, which tells you everything. The rubber underside keeps it planted on the hardwood even during their most aggressive scratching sessions, and flipping it after a few weeks gives us a fresh surface without buying a new one.
Our cat is picky about scratching surfaces, but she took to this cardboard pad immediately. The non-slip rubber base keeps it from sliding across the floor mid-scratch, which was my main worry, and I love that it’s fully recyclable once we flip it over and wear out the second side.
My cats ignored the last three scratchers I bought, but this one they actually use daily. The double-sided design is perfect since I can just flip it over when the top gets worn, and the rubber non-slip base keeps it from sliding across the floor.
